National Pancake Day 2017 is March 7, and if you love pancakes, you need to get in on this sweet deal!

On March 7, the world famous IHOP breakfast restaurant chain will offer customers a free short stack of pancakes from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m, nationwide. Some IHOP’s will have the deal going until as late as 10 p.m.

If you have never heard of IHOP’s deal on National Pancake Day, here is how it works.

Instead of paying for the stack of hot cakes you will receive on March 7, IHOP is asking customers to make a donation to one of its many partnered charities, including Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, Shriners Hospitals for Children and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. So the deal is really a win-win when you look at it.

According to the IHOP menu, a short stack of hotcakes is currently listed at $4.59. If everyone who entered the door at your local IHOP on March 7 donated just half of that amount, it would be a successful day!

National Pancake Day began back in 2006 and has done better each year since. IHOP has set a goal to raise $3.5 million for children battling critical illnesses.
