Did you know that research has shown that wearing costumes may actually help your child “work harder and concentrate more on tasks?”

It turns out it’s true, and according to Red Tricycle “that superhero costume might actually have some real benefits.”

It appears that when kids dress up they can transform themselves into anyone they want to be, from a fairy princess, to a superhero, or even their favorite cartoon character; and while this can be incredibly fun and entertaining, it has also been shown to help with a far-reaching range of emotional and social benefits.

Studies have also shown that kids like to identify with the character’s traits, and imitate their special powers and skills, resulting in “more perseverance” when it comes to handling situations, and if the costumes are worn long enough, they may just start believing they can actually do anything they set their minds to!

Dressing in costumes can make your child feel: beautiful, powerful, and adventurous, as well as help build their vocabulary and imagination, all while giving a boost to their confidence and self-esteem.

So where will your child’s imagination soar to this Halloween?

Below are this year’s most popular kids approved Halloween costumes to help them enjoy this magical and spook-takular time of the year!
