May is upon us! The month of May brings us warmer weather, the promise of camp fires, starry nights, summer vacations and of course a lot of holidays to celebrate! While three of the biggest are Mother’s Day, Cinco de Mayo and Memorial Day, their are a lot of other reasons to celebrate in May.

However before you start looking at all the holidays this month, we have to put Mom front and center! Many great Mother’s Day online deals are out there, so remember not to forget to honor the woman who gave you your start in life!

National Teacher’s Day, National Hoagie Day and National Chocolate Chip Day all sound like great reasons to celebrate, but Cinco de Mayo is always tops on my list. Not only is it fun to celebrate, but May 5th is an important day in Mexico’s history. Cinco de Mayo commemorates the Mexican army’s victory over the French at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862.

Here in the US, millions of folks love to celebrate Cinco de Mayo and their are a lot of great deals and freebies for consumers to cash in on.  From Del Taco, to Moe’s Southwest Grill, to hot online specials, Cinco de Mayo has many was to enjoy the day and save some cash in doing so. Remember, a lot of people like to consume a beverage or two while celebrating Cinco de Mayo, just don’t drink and drive.

May 7th is the Kentucky Derby – it is also World Naked Gardening Day. Talk about a contrast of interests!
