St. Patrick’s Day 2016 Freebies, Sales & Deals

St. Patrick’s Day celebrations will be front and center this week as millions of Irish-American’s (and non Irish alike) prepare to celebrate. While many people like to rise early an St. Patty’s and head to the local pub, their is much more to this holiday than it gets credit for.  St. Patrick’s Day was created to celebrate St. Patrick, the patron Saint of Ireland.

As Google (Wikipedia) describes it: Saint Patrick’s Day, or the Feast of Saint Patrick (Irish: Lá Fhéile Pádraig, “the Day of the Festival of Patrick”), is a cultural and religious celebration held on March 17, the traditional death date of Saint Patrick ( c. AD 385–461), the foremost patron saint of Ireland.

Here in the US, many people will celebrate by wearing green, drinking green beer and eating some of the best traditional Irish foods including Corned Beef and Cabbage, Irish Stew, Shepherd’s Pie just to name a few are all long time traditions.
