Veterans Day 2016: Free Meals & Deals Include Applebee’s, IHOP, Krispy Kreme, Chili’s, Walgreens & More


Veterans Day 2016 deals are here. Friday, November 11, is Veterans Day, and many restaurants, bars and businesses are celebrating Veterans Day by offering freebies and deals on food, drinks and purchases for all veterans and active military members. What a great way to honor the military men and women who have given everything they have to protect and serve the country.

A USA Today report indicates that if you are a veteran or an active member of the military, you can take advantage of so many different deals that you can eat free from morning until night. All veterans need to remember is restaurants and businesses who are participating in today’s deals and giveaways will require a form of military ID to receive the Veterans Day freebies.

While there are a lot of restaurants and businesses that are giving away free meals and deals today, one of the best freebies out there is from Red Robin. All veterans and active duty military will receive a free Red’s Tavern Double Burger and bottomless steak fries as a big “thank you” from Red Robin.

The topper to this deal is Red Robin is also donating $10,000 to United Service Organizations.

That is a win, win!

Now, there are literally hundreds of businesses giving way some great free meals and discounted deals today, however, if you don’t see a place of business on the list below, that doesn’t mean that they aren’t participating in some sort of Veterans Day discount. Just ask them!

It isn’t just restaurants that are getting in on the giveaways today. Walgreen’s, Home Depot, Great Clips and Lowe’s are just a few of the businesses that are running great deals today. Walgreen’s is giving veterans 20 percent off all purchases today while Great Clips salons will be giving out free hair cuts for all military members. This will be the fourth annual Veterans Day promotion being held by Great Clips.

The best thing about the offer from Great Clips is everyone can pitch in. Here is how.

All non-military customers who purchase a service at a U.S. Great Clips salon on Veterans Day (Nov. 11) get a free haircut card to give to a veteran they know. If you are veteran or a current military members who visits a U.S. Great Clips salon today, you can get a freebie on the house. If you don’t need a haircut, they also have you covered.

Veterans will receive a free haircut card to use at a later date.

Chipolte – From 3 p.m. until close, Chilpolte is offering buy one/get one free on burritos, bowls, salad or order of tacos for all active duty, reserves, national guard or retired military, military spouses.

Chuck E Cheese – Veterans can enjoy a free personal pizza today.

Cracker Barrel – Cracker Barrel is offering veterans a complimentary slice of its Double Chocolate Fudge Coca-Cola Cake.

Denny’s – Denny’s is offering a free Build Your Own Grand Slam for all veterans.

Golden Corral – This one is nice! Veterans will get a free buffet meal and drink from 5-9 p.m.

Hooters – A free meal from the Veterans Day Menu is on tap today for all veterans.

IHOP – Free pancakes! IHOP is offering their famous Red, White & Blue Pancakes from 7 a.m.-7 p.m.

Krispy Kreme Doughnuts – Krispy Kreme is offering free breakfast donuts and coffee for all veterans.
